The Lactoscan manufacturer provides separate milk security tests for substances such as starch, formalin, salt, ammonium ions, glucose or maltodextrin, and sucrose.

This means two things should not be confused: Lactoscan composition analysis and specific adulteration testing. They answer different questions.
